Chelan Residence
Los Angeles, CA
The original structure, located on a secluded promontory at the foot of Runyon Canyon, was lacking connection to its magnificent surrounding and had been cloistered into small rooms without coherent flow. With only a small addition and a complete reconfiguration, the house was transformed into an open, purposeful, and connected space. An infinity pool was added at the northern end of the property, completing the sequence towards dramatic views of downtown. The material palette was kept simple with stucco throughout and accents of charred wood siding.
